A garment woven in a waffle structure is the trend for this summer. This weaving technique ensures that your clothes are airy and dry quickly when you come back from a day at the beach. In addition, the texture of the waffle fabric provides high next-to-skin comfort because it is soft to the touch. The fabric has a trendy and luxurious look, so you can wear it for different occasions.
There are different names for the waffle textured fabric. For example, it is also known as waffle cotton, waffle fabric or the French name Piqué. The fabric is double woven in a flat weave and as these two layers are woven together, a relief is created in the fabric, also known as the waffle structure. A waffle fabric is always woven from the raw material cotton. Geisha likes to add elastane to the spun yarns, giving the garment extra elasticity for comfort and optimal fit.
