Every summer we bring you the latest items that you can wear perfectly because they are fresh, airy and comfortable. We like to tell you more about the creation of the collection and how the technical process works. So you know exactly how your favorite item is made! So read on for the whole story.

Every year Geisha gets to present the newest fabrics and prints that are on trend with the developments in the fashion industry. When collecting, a choice is made in the proportion of T-shirts, dresses you name it, to offer a wide range.

To give the best possible insight we take you step by step through the production process. At the beginning of the process, the fibers of the raw materials are spun into yarns. In the care label you will often see a mix of viscose and elastane under the fabric composition. Viscose is made from wood fibers and is therefore a natural fabric. This raw material is often used in summer items because it has a number of good qualities. For example, viscose has high breathability, high next-to-skin comfort and low static power. The mix with elastane makes the fabric extra elastic and makes it less prone to absorbing water. So your clothes will dry faster after a day at the water.

The next step is to knit the combed yarns into a large jersey cloth. These cloths are then washed so they are ready for the printing process. After the fabric is printed, we move to the next station, which is cutting out the patterns. Beforehand, the pattern pieces are put into the computer by size to realize as little fabric loss as possible during the cutting process. When the cutting process has started, all patterns are bundled together and checked against a color chart. Other important tests that are carried out are the tests on filtration, light (possible discoloration) and of course washing.

If all this is good the fabrics go to the stitching atelier. In the atelier each sewing machine has its own task; one sews the sleeve, the other a collar. When everyone has done their task, the finished product remains and falls right into the basket. Next, it is important that the fitters check whether the sample meets the conditions of fitting and color and give their final feedback on this before it goes into production. The care label of your brand new purchase will also give you instructions on how to wash your new acquisition. For each raw material the approach is different, so please refer to the product care page.
