Fall/Winter '22 - These are the trendy colours of the colder season

Every season, the biggest brands show their new collections on the runways. With these shows, they set the trends for the season in question. Trends can come in the form of silhouettes, fabrics, details, prints and, of course, colours. In this article, we list the trendy colours of this autumn season and we also tell you how to style them.

(cobalt) blue

Blue is one of the trendy colours this season and manifests itself in a bright version of the colour. We mainly see a lot of cobalt blue passing by, but any other bright blue colour belongs to this trend. Think especially of saturated shades of blue, such as a bright light blue, navy blue and royal blue. With this trend, you can choose to give one statement item in your outfit this nice bright colour, but you can also go for a monochrome blue look. With such a monochrome look, the trick is to combine different shades of blue into a coherent look or go for a monochrome look in one shade.

For the women, we styled the matching corduroy trousers with the corduroy blouse. For an extra dimension, wear a brown top under the blouse. For girls, we have styled the cobalt blue flaired trousers with the cobalt blue 'dreamer' hoodie, the trousers have a beautiful floral print with light blue accents, giving that extra detail that makes your outfit special.

Burnt orange

During autumn and winter we often see warm colours. In autumn, we see red and orange leaves falling from the trees and people crawl under a warm blanket by the fireplace. The trendy warm colour of this season is burnt orange. Style this colour with other warm colours like brown or cream to create a warm effect that is reflected throughout your look.

Opt for the orange lurex jumper and style it with sand-coloured worker jeans. Finish the look with a pair of sturdy boots, preferably in a warm colour that matches the colour palette. For the girls, we created a super cute and comfortable look. We styled the orange 'up all night' hoodie with the matching zebra print suit. This is a true colour blocking outfit, the black of the suit is reflected in the letters of the hoodie and the burnt orange colour of the hoodie is reflected in the stripes of the suit.

Very Peri

The main colour this season is purple, we see the colour everywhere. It is mainly a brighter purple, but we also see a lot of darker shades. Purple combines well with jeans or by creating a matching look with other shades of purple.

For women, Geisha has a great purple tweed jacket, which can be styled with the bright purple blouse that exactly matches the very peri shade, the colour of this season. Finish the look with a nice pair of jeans. For the girls, we have a beautiful purple suit in the collection, consisting of a purple floral print top and a matching skort. To give the outfit a fun twist, you can wear the purple jumper over the floral top.

Matcha green

Green is also on the list of trendy colours this autumn. Specifically the brighter shades of green like the green colour of matcha tea. We see the green colour especially common in tops, jumpers and cardigans. Green combines well with blue, specifically a nice pair of jeans always goes well with the green colour.

In the women's collection, we see a lot of green in different shades. One of the outfits we have put together is the combination of the graphic chain print top, in beautiful green and blue shades, with the mom fit jeans. For the girls, we have several items in the same green colour so they can easily be styled together. Opt for the green wrap cardigan and wear it over the matching floral print suit.

Vanilla baby

This autumn is not just about bright colours, we also see a lot of basic colours. The colour vanilla is particularly popular. This colour contains several cream tones. We mainly see this colour being used as a base combined with a print or a slightly more prominent colour. We have several tops and bottoms in the vanilla colour, which are very versatile. They have become a must-have to add to your wardrobe.

A good example of such a vanilla basic item is the PU leather paperbag trousers for women, we have styled them with the abstract nature print top, in the details of the top the cream colour that we also see in the trousers returns. To complete the look, style the outfit with a pair of trainers or cool boots. For the girls we have a nice cream-coloured patchwork jumper, which combines well with a variety of colours. For this look, we styled the jumper with the grey mom jeans for a casual and cool look.
