Spring/Summer '23 - colour trend: blue & green
This summer will be a colourful one, we see a lot of bright colours that are not only worn in a monochrome look, but also combined with each other. In this blog article, we tell you how best to combine blue and green in one outfit.
Changing fashion rules
In the past, people adhered to stricter fashion rules, for example, the combination of green and blue was not done. You might remember the saying 'blue with green is peasant decency'. Fortunately, this era with its rules is far behind us and we are free to wear what we want.
In 2023, clothes and outfits will be experimented with more and more. Prints are being combined with each other more and colours that used to be written off as clashing with each other are now being combined a lot. For instance, the combination of green and blue has now even become a fashion trend.
How do you style green and blue together?
Two colours in one item
The easiest way to implement this trend into your own clothing style is to have a clothing item made in a combination of these colours. For example, choose our green and blue striped jumper, style it with a nice pair of jeans and trainers and your outfit is complete. You can even choose to match your accessories in colour with the jumper.
Panther print flared trousers are also a good option, style them with a basic jumper, top or blouse for a comfy look. A chest print t-shirt combining green and blue also falls within this trend and is a good alternative if you are going for a casual look.
Colour blocking
Colour blocking involves combining several often bright colours (which are sometimes opposite each other on the colour wheel) in an outfit. With green and blue, you could do the following: style a green top with a blue bottom and finish the look with green shoes. The other way around is also possible, of course. To implement this trend one step further, you can also wear your accessories in these colours, so that your whole outfit is colour blocked.
Monochrome with a pop of colour
You can also choose to wear a full green outfit and only colour your shoes or accessories blue, which gives a nice effect to your outfit and adds a little something extra. Of course, you can also go for a full blue (or denim) look with green shoes and accessories.
