What is GDPR / AVG?
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. In Dutch, this is called the 'Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming' or AVG. GDPR is new European legislation that will apply to the collection, management and protection of personal data of European citizens from May 25, 2018. You can find more information about GDPR and the rights you have as a consumer on various public websites, such as those of the European Union or the control authorities of each country in the European Union.
What does Geisha do within the context of GDPR?
We strive to process your data in a completely secure manner, and to communicate transparently about the data we collect about you, how long we keep it and what we use it for. In essence, we collect data to provide you as a consumer with a certain service (such as delivering an order on our webshop), to be able to offer an optimal service, to tailor our communication to your preferences and to tailor our range as closely as possible to your interests. What data does Geisha collect?
We only collect data when this is necessary to provide a service, if you give your permission or if legislation requires us to do so. What does Geisha use the data for?
We collect various types of personal data for different purposes. In essence, we collect data:
- To be able to provide you, as a customer, with a service for which we need this information.
- To be able to offer you optimal service. We do this, for example, to facilitate the use of our webshop when you register.
- To save your settings when using our services.
- To tailor our communication to your preferences, such as in our newsletters or our on-line communities or social media channels.

Can I view this data?
Yes, that's possible. If you wish, you can request an overview of the data we have collected about you.
How long do you keep my data?
We keep your data for a maximum period of 5 years. Unless you give us permission to keep and reuse this data, or unless it is legally required to keep data longer, we will delete your data after this period, or we will only keep it anonymously, for example, to be able to perform statistical analyzes reporting. Can I change the data or have it changed?
Yes, that's possible. If you log in to our website with your account, you will see your most important personal information. You can change these yourself so that they are also automatically adapted to our systems.
Can I request to be removed from your customer base?
Yes, that's possible. If you wish, we will anonymize your data (for example, to be able to perform statistical analyzes reporting) in our systems so that it can no longer be linked to you. Please contact our customer service for this.
Can I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Of course, this is possible. You only need to use the "unsubscribe" option at the end of our emails to unsubscribe from our newsletters.
With which third parties do you share my data?
Before we share data with third parties, we first conclude a processor agreement so that your personal data is safeguarded. We only send or process the necessary data. We share (or process) your data with the following third parties:
