Spring/Summer '23 - Complementary Worlds
The collection is all about complementary worlds, on the one hand the collection emphasizes cultural designs inspired by African and Middle Eastern cultures, on the other hand the emphasis is on Western culture. Thus, we see many culturally inspired prints, such as ikat and allover nature prints. In warm climates, the focus is on quality in airy comfort. We have incorporated this through fabric and color use. Think linen pants, dresses and cotton tops. Soft colors such as sand, tabacco, ecru, off-white, coral and sunny yellow create a casual chic look. In addition, these colors make sure that the garment absorbs less heat, so you are not only stylishly dressed but also super comfortable. In Western culture, bright and loud colors such as green, red, purple, pink and orange take center stage. These colors are used as solid colors, but are also combined in a print. The prints hark back to the 1970s and 1980s. Not only did these eras inspire the prints, but also the silhouettes. Flowy maxi dresses, hanging shoulders, chest prints and flared jeans. A recurring trend in recent years are co-ord sets and suits. These full looks are perfect for everyday life; wear them casually for everyday wear or wear them more dressed up for the office or a party. There is also an emphasis on nautical influences within this collection, think navy and dark blue, the Breton stripe, capri pants, breezy knits and knits with collars. The two different worlds that inspired the entire collection complement each other perfectly. By combining everyone's strengths and qualities, we create an overall picture that everyone can relate to.
