Spring/Summer '22 - We love structures

Earlier we drew our attention to the latest color trends for this spring and summer; living coral, greenery and bright navy. How we will find these back in the contemporary streetscape and how everyone's own unique style can influence and inspire a neighbor to give extra shine and color to the fashion picture. In addition to these color trends, there are also trends that are meant for the discerning eye to discover how those specific details were created and how this affects the wearing comfort of an item.
Texture in fabrics is a real happening and trend for 2022. It gives your clothing that little bit extra, making your outfit stand out even more. A good example are the embroidered designs and woven stripes and dots in tops and blouses. The relief in the fabric gives your outfit a lively and expressive look that is translated by the 3D dimension of the item. The incorporation of lurex threads in the fabric gives your garment something subtle and gives it more shine, so you can also wear it festive and chic to a nice party or your favorite restaurant.
Texture in the fabric not only affects the look of the item, but also the comfort of wearing it. Soft tencel, waffle structure and terry are great examples. For the coming summer a top, short or dress made of terry is perfect to wear to the beach. Terry cloth is also known as 'terry' in fashion. Terry is a loop fabric where the extra chain yarns ensure that the fabric can be brushed to give a soft 'velvet look & feel' to the product.
